Many fashionistas are catching on to what I like to call "lightning sales". These are sales, usually hosted by an invitation-only website that offers designer products at extremely low prices, sometimes up to 75% off. The stock is low, and these sales can sell out in a matter of minutes. I like to think of it as a Ticketmaster specifically for women - just as men will have 3 computers going to try to get front row tickets to the game, there is nothing a woman won't do to score a Marc Jacobs bag at 50% off.
